Optum Health Vault (AI)

Goal

Envision a future where AI, personalization, and ownership of information intersect to improve the experiences across healthcare journeys.

Context

Several of the major challenges of healthcare recognize that disparate technology systems negatively impact the experience of healthcare journeys. Health vault was an exploration, grounded in research and insights, of where AI might be used to stitch these technology systems together and provide a best-in-class experience for constituents.

My role

• Understand existing research and insights, especially around where healthcare patients desire (or not) the intervention of AI as a technology
• Lead the definition, and creation of a compelling, future-state narrative (story map) that bridges patient and provider experiences across technology
• Conceptualize digital concepts of key moments of a future state
• Also - lead a workshop to help prioritize and scope an MVP experience that would be ideal as a pilot for the next year

Impact

• 20+ leaders who realize the art of the possible:
  • AI use in consumer-facing contexts
  • AI use in “back stage” contexts
• A clear future-state vision to help said leaders decide whether to fund the effort
