Optum find and schedule care vision

Goal

Secure business funding for the find and schedule care journey team so that the patient-provider relationship can be addressed with quality in the coming year.

Context

During annual funding cycles, product teams compete to secure resources for next-year priorities. With only a napkin sketch and a 30-minute briefing from a product leader, I joined the team to transform a loose idea into a clear, evidence-based future vision.

My role

• Lead the definition, and creation of all relevant materials, of a future-state vision for the find and schedule journey
• Work with the team to refine and align on the above

Impact

In under 2 weeks, rapid alignment with the team around a tangible vision, including:

• Experience success criteria (constituent outcomes) across 3 functional user types
• Experience architecture and high-level service flow
• Digital concepts in the form of a lo-fidelity, clickable prototype and a few static high-fidelity concept screens
